How UGCut handles your data

Local editing

The core editor can run without a UGCut account. Editing, speech recognition, captions and export run on your iPhone. You can edit and export without uploading creator content to UGCut.

Chosen online uploads

While project sharing is on, UGCut receives plans and status for all projects in your account, including script text, so authorized clients can read them. Portfolio upload sends the video you choose, including its sound, for storage and security checks. Plan handoffs contain authored plan text. Marketplace participation and scheduled publishing are coming soon.

Scheduled posting to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube is in internal testing with approved test accounts and is not available to the public. When a tester schedules a post, the app uploads the exported video, including its sound, and UGCut stores the caption, the options chosen and the platform credentials. At the scheduled time, UGCut sends the video and caption to the platform you chose. UGCut deletes a stored video 30 days after the last scheduled post that uses it reaches a final status.

Website, accounts and help

If you join the waitlist, the website processes your email address. Optional accounts and plan handoffs are described in the privacy policy. The app does not include the RevenueCat SDK. In internal posting tests, a purchase made while signed in carries a random ID that UGCut issues for your account. The UGCut server sends completed-transaction purchase history to RevenueCat under an account-specific customer ID for subscription functionality and analytics, and UGCut can link that ID to your UGCut account. RevenueCat does not receive creator content from UGCut. Builds without the internal test send no purchase receipts.
